MediaSignage Player now detects HLS stream failures and displays a clear on-screen error message while automatically retrying the connection, replacing the previous black-screen behavior.

YouTube Video and YouTube Live Stream Support
MediaSignage Player now natively supports standard YouTube video playback and YouTube Live streams.

Ability to Disable WiFi on LG Devices
A new custom setting on the MediaSignage Server lets you remotely disable WiFi on LG displays, eliminating the need for on-site visits when transitioning devices from wireless to wired connections.

HDMI-CEC Monitor Control on Amazon Signage Stick
The Amazon Signage Stick now supports HDMI-CEC commands, enabling volume adjustment, and mute toggling for connected HDMI-CEC compatible TVs.

Server Selection Dropdown in Manual Configuration
The manual configuration screen now provides a dropdown with predefined server options, making it faster and less error-prone to configure a player's server connection.

LG TV Total Usage Hours Reporting
MediaSignage Player now reports the total operating hours of LG Smart TVs to the MediaSignage Server, giving you visibility into display usage and lifecycle data.

Certified LG Firmware 04.03.40
MediaSignage Player has been fully regression tested and certified against LG firmware release 04.03.40 (Chrome 94).

Fixed large image files causing repeated reboots and player crashes on certain platforms.
Corrected reboot timestamps to display in the player's assigned timezone using a consistent, international-friendly date/time format.
Fixed player configuration fields failing to populate after completing registration via provisioning code.
Improved LG TV boot time by optimizing startup screen assets, reducing initialization time while maintaining the updated visual design.
Fixed an issue where the selected timezone was not applied correctly on Amazon Signage Stick devices.
