Enhanced OnDemand, Improved UI, and Key Fixes
Features
- Renamed "VOD" to "OnDemand" to better reflect its expanded functionality.
- Expanded OnDemand Content Support: All content types can now be assigned to the OnDemand area, not just videos.
- Playlist Integration: Playlists can now be assigned to an OnDemand Group for greater flexibility in content organization.
- Thumbnail Support:
- Added the ability to assign a thumbnail image to any content type.
- Playlists can now have a dedicated thumbnail image for improved visual identification.
- Categories within an OnDemand Group can also have thumbnail images assigned.
- Content Type Icons: All content pages now display content type icons to help users quickly identify different content formats.
- OnDemand Publishing:
- Added the ability to manually publish an OnDemand Group.
- OnDemand Groups will also auto-publish during the normal publishing schedule if changes haven’t been manually published.
- Publishing functions the same way as general publishing—changes won’t reach Players until published.
Fixes
- Schedule Display Issue: Resolved an issue where the Schedules area did not properly display all Players assigned to a Schedule.
- Incorrect Schedule Assignment in Inherit Settings: Fixed a bug where the Player Edit → Inherit section sometimes showed the wrong assigned Schedule.
- SSO Login Failure: Addressed an issue where SSO logins would fail if the Account Variable Mapping ended with a space.
- CSV Download Formatting: Fixed inconsistent date/time formatting in Player data CSV exports. The format now matches the MSS 5.18 release.
- "Save and Add to Playlist" Permissions: Account Admins can now successfully create content from a Content Template and add it to a Playlist.
